At BSAU, we are committed to working hand in hand with the government and fostering a sense of patriotism to restructure the bodaboda industry through the Ministry of Interior. Our primary objectives include:
Sector Reorganization: We aim to bring about positive changes in the bodaboda sector by collaborating closely with the government and implementing strategic reforms.
Registration of Riders: Through our Bodaboda Information Management System (BIMS), we are dedicated to registering all riders. This initiative serves to weed out bad elements and criminals from the sector, ensuring the safety and security of both riders and passengers.
Rider Training: Safety is our priority. We provide comprehensive training programs to riders, focusing on road safety, economic empowerment, and financial literacy. By equipping riders with these essential skills, we empower them to thrive in their profession while promoting responsible riding practices.
Collaboration with NGOs and Government: BSAU actively collaborates with non-governmental organizations and government agencies to enhance the skills and knowledge of bodaboda riders. Together, we work towards a safer and more sustainable bodaboda industry.
Support for Security Measures: We recognize the vital role bodaboda riders play in community safety. By partnering with the Ministry of Interior, we support efforts to utilize bodaboda riders as a valuable resource in reporting suspected criminal activities within Ugandan territory.
